Fauvette (n): diminutive form of the French fauve, meaning “wild beast” or “savage”.

My baking has always been inspired by the natural beauty and flavors that grow all around us - edible flowers, herbs, fruits. I make cakes using ingredients that are seasonal and local - from farmer’s markets, friends’ gardens, urban foraging expeditions. Unless you have any specific requests (favorite flavors, strong aversions, allergies), each cake will reflect whatever I am feeling most inspired by at the moment.
